There are fears that Asisat Oshoala could miss the Champions League final when Barcelona take on Wolfsburg on Saturday, June 3rd in Eindhoven, Sportivationng.com reports.
Oshoala got injured in Barcelona’s final league match of the season with a suspected thigh injury and has been training alone to be fit in time for the final showdown.
The Nigerian goal poacher flew with the rest of the squad to the Netherlands, but was not involved in training as she struggles to shake off the injury.
Coach Jonatan Giráldez reportedly said his players are fit and available, however, there are concerns that the Super Falcons markswoman could sit out of the all-important clash.
The 28 years old Nigeria international is the joint-top scorer of this season’s competition with five goals alongside teammate Aitana Bonmati, having netted braces against Benfica and Rosengård.
For Barca, they are searching for a second UWCL title after conquering Europe in 2020-21 campaign with victory over Chelsea.
