Chuba Akpom has been rewarded for his scintillating performances for Middlesbrough in the 2022-23 EFL Championship season with two awards, Sportivationng.com reports.
The former Arsenal striker bagged the player of the year award voted for by fans, and also the Players’ Player of the year gong at a ceremony at the Riverside Stadium on Thursday evening.
He has enjoyed a prolific season for Middlesbrough, scoring 28 goals in 37 Championship matches for Michael Carrick’s side.
Akpom was also named the EFL Player of the season in April.

Akpom became the first Middlesbrough player to score more than 20 league goals in a season since 1989/90 season.
He will be hoping to add to his tally against Coventry on Monday night at the Riverside Stadium.
