Gift Orban continued his rich vein of form for Gent after scoring a hat-trick in the 4-1 win over Basaksehir in the Europa Conference League round of 16 clash, Sportivationng.com reports.
Gift scored four goals in Gent’s 6-2 win over Zulte Waragem on Sunday in the Belgian League.
He also scored the first goal in the first leg of the encounter which ended 1-1 Belgium.
Orban opened the scoring in the 31st minute before adding the second goal a minute later.
He completed his hat-trick in the 34th minute to give Gent a 3-0 lead in the first half.
The Nigerian young star has now scored the fastest hat-trick in UEFA club competitions in three minutes 25 seconds.
The 20-year-old has now scored 9 goals in his last four games for Gent.
Orban joined Gent from Norwegian club, Stabaek in the January transfer window.
He won the Norwegian top scorer award in 2022 and also coast home with the young player of the year award.
