Box2Box Football Club have expressed their desire to be part of the Lagos talent projekt showcase, which is aimed at giving talented players the opportunity to be discovered by top European scouts.
The showcase is expected to feature top football scouts from Europe to select talented, exceptional, and hardworking players, who want to fulfil their dream of playing abroad.
Box2Box FC Academy is one of the prominent teams in Lagos with an enviable track record of producing quality players who have played for Nigeria, and are plying their trade abroad.
Super Eagles latest debutant, Tolu Arokodare is a product of Box2Box FC, he started his career at the club in Lagos before travelling to Europe.
The academy is known for providing opportunities for young, talented footballers to express their talents, which helps them to fulfil their dreams.
Box2Box FC coach, Reuben Randy opened up on the objectives of the team while expressing their desire to be part of the Lagos talent projekt showcase.
He said: “Box2Box FC is a team where we catch them young, we bring them out of the streets, we train them and help them with the opportunity to play for top clubs abroad.
“We have the likes of Tolu Arokodare, David Durosinmi, Afolabi Saliu, Prince Nwachukwu, Adams Alabi, Ola Kayode amongst many others playing in Europe.”
Randy also highlighted what makes Box2Box FC different from other teams.
He said: “We let our players understand that what we want from them which is to train them up to the standard required in modern football so when they have the opportunity to play abroad it will be easier for them because they understand what they need to know before going out.”
Randy is delighted with the Lagos talent projekt showcase, expressing the club’s readiness to be part of it.
He said: We have started preparations for the Lagos talent projekt already, we can’t wait for it to kick off, we have young, talented players. The players too are looking forward to the showcase.
“This is the type of opportunity we want in Nigeria where all these young players can be taken away from the street to get something done, look at the life of Tolu Arokodare, he is doing pretty well the same as David Durosinmi.”
Similarly, Box2Box FC captain, Adesanya Waris, who plays as a winger, is also looking forward to the Lagos talent projekt showcase, vowing to work hard to prepare.
He said: My ambition as a footballer is to get the opportunity to get scouted, and to play football at the biggest stage, I have been working towards the Lagos talent projekt showcase because I want to show the world my talent, I want to get exposed so people around the world will get to know me. I want to represent Nigeria, and to also play in Europe”.
Box2Box FC has produced players for Nigeria U-17, U20 and the Super Eagles team while also having talented players across the Nigerian leagues.
The Lagos talent projekt showcase promises to be a platform for talented players to display their talents in the presence of top scouts, top agents, club directors from various European countries.
