Comfort Edge Football Club have expressed their readiness for the Lagos talent projekt showcase, which is targeted at giving young, talented players the opportunity to exhibit their talent.
Comfort Edge is an established youth-focused club which provides players the platform to hone their skills.
The Lagos talent projekt is expected to have in attendance top scouts from major clubs in Europe, alongside FIFA- licensed agents, who will be saddled with the responsibility of selecting young quality players.
Comfort Edge, one of the top football academies in Nigeria are gearing up for the Lagos talent projekt showcase.
According to a member of the technical committee, Dolapo Ewulogbo, who spoke to Lagos talent projekt media.
“Comfort Edge Academy is a grassroots focused initiative which started from the edge of glory programme where we started picking man of the match from the competitions like the Adegboruwa Cup, and other programmes.
“We provide an opportunity for the players to move from the Edge of glory programme to our club in other to continue their development.
“We have participated in different scouting programmes, exposing our talents to the world to see.
“We are excited about the Lagos talent projekt, we can’t wait to be a part of it because we know it will project the players we have in our own team for the world to see. We can’t wait to be a part of it, we want it to be a reality. ”
Dolapo opened up on the team’s plans to feature young players at the Lagos talent projekt showcase.
He concluded: “We are going to be bringing in young players because if you look at the world today, we have young chaps doing well that we have identified and we want them to go and harness their potential in other to reach the peak of their careers.”
Similarly, A key member of the team, Igbinoghene Osas, who plays as a right-back is excited at the prospect of participating at the Lagos talent projekt showcase.
He said: “I am excited to hear about the Lagos talent projekt because it is an avenue for us to showcase what we have as a young footballer, to expose us and I’m grateful to the organisers for the opportunity.
“I am going to prepare rigidly for the showcase because it is an opportunity I will not want to miss out on, so we will put more effort and work hard to make sure we are outstanding in the showcase.”
The Lagos talent projekt is expected to attract attention from European scouts, and academies looking to tap into Nigeria’s pool of talented players.
Standout players will be selected, and giving the opportunity to continue their development in Europe.
