Flying Eagles coach, Ladan Bosso has revealed that the team is ready to win the U20 FIFA World Cup trophy for the newly sworn-in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Sportivationng.com reports.
Bosso led the team to a stunning 2-0 win over Argentina to book a place in the last eight of the competition.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn-in as Nigeria’s new President on Monday.
Bosso is confident that the Flying Eagles can usher in his administration with the U-20 World Cup trophy.
“I dedicate this victory to our new President,” Bosso said after the game.
“We will be the first team to give him his first trophy.”
He also revealed that the team will remain humble after sending the hosts country out of the competition.
“I said it in Abuja that the tougher the start, the easier the end for us,” he added.
“We have faced difficult teams like Brazil, Italy and now the host nation.
“We will remain humble and focused, so that it will be easy for us.”
The Flying Eagles will face the winner between South Korea and Ecuador in the quarter-finals.
