Bendel Insurance continued their drawing spree with a 1-1 draw against Enyimba in a 2022-23 NPL Super Six clash on Wednesday, Sportivationng.com reports.
The Benin Arsenal have drawn their last six games in the NPL including the playoffs, sharing the spoils in their first three games of the season-ending competition.
Sadiq Abubakar gave Enyimba the lead in the 23rd minute from a scintillating counter-attacking move.
Divine Nwachukwu brought Bendel Insurance back into the game with a superb header with eight minutes of the first half remaining.
Nwachukwu has now scored two goals in the 2022-23 Nigeria Premier League Super Six playoffs.
Bendel Insurance have extended their unbeaten run in the league to 21 games.
In the second game of the day, Remo Stars played out a 1-1 draw with Sunshine Stars.
Samuel Anakwe gave the Sky Blue Stars the lead in the 11th minute.
Emmanuel Gyang restored parity for Sunshine Stars just after the break to ensure the share of the spoils.
Both sides are still looking for their first win of the Super Six playoffs.
Up next for Remo Stars is a clash against Lobi Stars on Friday, while Sunshine Stars take on Enyimba.
In the last match of the day, Rivers United played out a 0-0 draw with Lobi Stars.
Both sides couldn’t break the deadlock to ensure the maximum points.
Rivers United will be back in action against Bendel Insurance on Friday.
Enyimba are leading the log with five points from three games, same as Rivers United but with a superior goal difference.
