The Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF) has congratulated the Chairman Balmoral Group Promotions Ezekiel Adamu and Amir Khan promotions for the successful hosting of their event Chaos in the Ring 4 in Lagos.
The widely followed brawls held at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island on Friday, attracted dignitaries from several works of life, including celebrities, politicians, and business moguls.
Aside from a plethora of side attractions, all eyes were focused on the squared ropes when the hostilities got on the way.
The international Super Featherweight Challenge set the stage for an entertaining night as Joshua Oluwaseun Wahab recorded a unanimous victory over Mkola Said Suid in the 79.5kg contest. In the
International Middleweight 71.8kg Challenge Rasheed Adeyemo recorded a 1:43secs knockout (KO) over Michael Mdoe in the third round.
It was, however, a close contest in the International Super Lightweight Challenge as Raheem Animashaun got the judges node unanimously over Stephano Amos. Michael Mckinson defeated Segun Afiku in the International Welterweight Challenge.
The celebrity showdown lived up to its prematch hype as skit maker Carter Efe pummelled musician Portable in a 3 round frenetic brawl.
The president of the Nigeria Boxing Federation Hon. Wale Edun, who was present at the event, praised the organizers for the professional standard of the event.
” I must commend the Balmoral Group Promotions and Amir Khan promotions for such a beautiful event, the ambiance was good, the bouts were very professional, and the officials also gave a good account of themselves, as a federation the NBF will continue to support boxing promoters who are sincere and are willing to do things the right way”. Edun added.
On his part, the vice president Nigeria Boxing Federation Hon. Omonlei Imadu reaffirmed the Federation’s commitment to reforms that will positively impact all aspects of the squared ropes sports in the country.
“Chaos in the Ring 4, is the second pro boxing event sanctioned by the NBF in recent weeks, our aim is to support those who are truly investing in the sports through reforms that will make the game viable to attract more corporate collaboration”. Imadu said.
The fights records for the 4th installment of Chaos in the Ring will be updated on (BoxRec) with the Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF) as the official commission.
