Super Eagles duo of Victor Osimhen, and Ademola Lookman will battle it out for the Nigeria Pitch Awards, Sportivationng.com reports.
Lookman, who is the reigning African footballer of the year has been nominated alongside Victor Osimhen, and William Troost Ekong for the King of the Pitch award.
The Atalanta forward is also in contention for the Striker of the year award alongside Victor Boniface, and Victor Osimhen.
The nominees for the 11th edition were announced at a press conference on Thursday in Lagos.
The President of the Nigeria Pitch Awards expressed his appreciation to Sports Editors, Sports Journalists, and the Nigeria Football Federation for their support over the years since the inception of the award in 2013.
He said: “From the beginning, our goal was to create an award platform built on the core values of transparency, credibility, and integrity. We are proud that year after year, our College of Voters—comprising Nigeria’s most experienced sports journalists—continues to make independent and patriotic decisions,”
