Anuoluwapo Salisu has expressed her delight after making her Uefa Women’s Champions League debut for BIIK Kazygurt against SFK Riga on Wednesday, Sportivationng.com reports.
The former DreamStars Ladies prodigy started the encounter for her new club and was in action for 59 minutes in the Uefa Women’s Champions League qualifiers.
Anuoluwapo Salisu joined BIIK Kazygurt from NWFL side, Bayelsa Queens in July.
The young star is over the moon after making a dream debut for BIIK Kazygurt in the prestigious Uefa Women’s Champions League.
“I am extremely delighted to make my Champions League debut, it has always been my dream to play in Europe’s top competition and to represent BIIK Kazygurt in the qualifiers means a lot to me and my family at home”.
“It is not the result we wanted but we will continue to work hard to qualify for the Champions League, we have a chance on Saturday to show the world what we are capable doing. We are ready to bounce back.”Anuoluwapo Salisu told Sportivation Media.
She also reserved special praises for the coaching crew, supporters and everyone connected to the club for making her feel at home since she joined.
Salisu has been a shining light for BIIK Kazygurt since joining the team, with impressive performances in Kazakhstan.
She has scored one goal and recorded eight assists in four matches for BIIK Kazygurt in all competitions.
Salisu is expected to be in action on Saturday against Cliftonville Ladies in the Uefa Women’s Champions League qualifiers.
