Nigeria-eligible defender Osaze Urhoghide produced an impressive performance to lead FC Dallas to a stunning 4-0 win over DC United in the Major League Soccer on Sunday, Sportivationng.com reports.
Urhoghide, who played the whole duration of the game scored his first goal of the season in the encounter with a glancing header in the 78th minute.
He also recorded 73 touches, with a pass success rate of 87%, and 15 defensive contributions in the encounter coupled with his strong overall display.
He has enjoyed a regular playing time for FC Dallas and has been a key player in their success, leading the team to a sixth place position on the Western Conference log.
Urhoghide has made five appearances for FC Dallas in the Major League Soccer this season, scoring once and recording one assist.
He has completed 90 minutes in all the matches for the club.
The Dutch-born defender, with parents from Edo State, will be hoping to continue his goalscoring run against St. Louis CITY at the Toyota Stadium on Sunday.
FC Dallas’ 4-0 victory over DC United is the second-largest away win in the club’s history.
The club’s highest away win came on Aug. 16, 2014, when Dallas won 5-0 at the San Jose Earthquakes.
Urhoghide is eligible to play for Nigeria and the Netherlands.
