Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Frank Lampard on a caretaker basis until the end of the season, Sportivationng.com reports.
Lampard makes a return to Stamford Bridge after he was sacked in 2021 following a poor run of form.
The Chelsea legend has now been saddled with the responsibility of turning the club’s poor form around until the end of the season.
Lampard will be Chelsea’s fourth manager of the season following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Bruno Saltor took charge of the Liverpool game after Potter was sacked.
Co-controlling owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali said they are delighted to welcome back the club’s legend to Stamford Bridge.

Lampard is expected to take charge of his first match against Wolves on Saturday in the Premier League.
