Beşiktaş have officially announced the signing of Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City ahead of the 2025-26 Turkish Super League season.
Ndidi, 28, has penned a three-year contract with the Black Eagles, with the extra year option set to be triggered if certain performance conditions are met, sources close to the deal revealed.
Beşiktaş paid Ndidi’s full release clause in an instant payment to Leicester City, underlining their determination to secure the experienced midfielder ahead of the new Süper Lig season.
According to reliable reports, Ndidi did not hold discussions with any other club after talks with Beşiktaş began, with the Nigerian international making it clear he wanted a move to Turkey.
Ndidi’s arrival is expected to bolster Beşiktaş’ midfield options as they aim to challenge for the league title and make a strong run in European competitions.
The former Genk and Leicester City star has established himself as one of Africa’s top defensive midfielders and becomes the latest Nigerian to feature in the Turkish top flight.
