This follows the ongoing upgrade of the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, which is set to undergo significant renovations to meet both domestic and international standards.

The decision was made to ensure that Remo Stars can maintain a competitive edge during the renovation period.

The club confirmed that the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, a stadium with a rich history and sizeable capacity, will host their home fixtures until the completion of the stadium upgrade in Ikenne.

“The ongoing renovation of Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne is crucial to our long-term goals, and we remain committed to providing our fans with the best possible matchday experience.

In the meantime, we are pleased to announce that we will be playing our home games at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta.

We appreciate the support of our fans and the NPFL, and we’re confident that this will not affect our performance as we look ahead to another exciting season.”

The MKO Abiola Sports Arena, which has hosted several high-profile football matches over the years, is expected to provide the team with a competitive atmosphere.

The change of venue also allows Remo Stars to maintain their momentum following a strong performance in the previous season, which saw them qualify for continental football.

The team’s fans have been urged to continue their support at the new venue, and the club has promised that plans are in place to ensure a seamless transition to the Abeokuta-based ground.

The Ikenne-based Remo Stars are aiming to complete the stadium upgrades by the middle of the 2025/2026 season, after which they plan to return to their traditional home ground.

Until then, they are focused on using the MKO Abiola Sports Arena to continue their push for success in the NPFL and beyond.
