Ogunbote Opens Up On Shooting Stars’ Impressive Form

Shooting Stars coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has revealed the reasons behind the club's new found form in the NPFL, Sportivationng.com reports.

The Oluyole Warriors earned a comfortable 3-0 win over Gombe United at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Sunday.

The former Remo Stars coach has credited the players for the team's improved form.

“There is no magic to it other than hard work, aside from that the players are getting used to each other and we noticed some grey areas which we tried to make amends to”.

Ogunbote also revealed that team the team wants to finish the season on a high.

“The players knew the importance of the game, we have four matches to go, no matter what happens, we want to finish on a high note, we need to finish in an appreciable position.

“If you look at the game, we were wasteful a little bit in the first half, the game would have been wrapped up in the first half, but be that as it may, it was a game of minds, the players wanted to win and thank God we were able to create chances and we were able to get three of those chance”, stated coach Ogunbote.

Shooting Stars are unbeaten in their last five NPFL games.

Up next for Gbenga and his boys is a trip to Lafia to face Nasarawa United on Saturday.
