Salah suffered a hamstring injury in Egypt’s 2-2 draw with Ghana on Thursday and he has been ruled out of their next two games should they make it to the next round.
Salah will depart for England after Egypt’s last group game against Cape Verde on Monday night.
Klopp revealed that the plan is for Salah to continue his treatment at Anfield with the club’s medical team.
“That’s the plan. If that’s already decided 100 percent, I don’t know. That’s the plan,” he told reporters.
“If he cannot [play], however long he’s out, I think probably everybody sees it makes sense that he does the rehab with us – or with our people.
“That’s the plan. But if that’s now written in stone already, I don’t know.
“[I spoke to him] directly after, pretty much the night when it happened.
“Since then he’s in contact with our doctor and the doc tells me the news. I think he will be back, but we wait.”
Similarly, The Egyptian Football Association also confirmed on Sunday that Salah will return to Liverpool.
The Statement Read: “The Egyptian FA announces that Salah will now travel to England to receive treatment with the hope that he will join the Egyptian national team if it qualifies for the semi-finals,”.
Salah will return back to Ivory Coast if the Pharaohs make it to the semi final stage.
Egypt have picked just two points from two games in the competition and they take on Cape Verde in a must-win clash on Monday night.
