Delta Queens and Bayelsa Queens will play in the deciding match of the NWFL Super Six event where the ultimate league winner will be determined on Sunday, Sportivationng.com reports.
It’s going to be a south south derby with both teams representing same region in the country, also, the bragging rights of dominance is at stake.
In the first encounter of the day of the championship played at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba; Bayelsa Queens edged out former winners Rivers Angels by a lone goal.
Glory Edet found the net on the third minute to hand her team the vital win as the defending champions Bayelsa cruised home on high.
It’s worthy to mention that the Prosperity Girls as they are known as, are aiming to qualify for CAF Women’s Champions League the second time.
At their first attempt at the continental showpiece, Bayelsa Queens emerged third place winners.
In the other tie, Delta Queens only needed a point against Edo Queens to scale through having started their campaign with a win.
The game against Edo Queens ended goalless which secured Delta’s passage to the final match slated for Sunday, June 11.
In the third place game, Confluence Queens and Rivers Angels will face off in a bid to finish on the podium.
