The Nigeria Professional Football League board has s t to honour coach Oluremi Ogunmodede and Haruna Anas will be specially honoured at an event scheduled for September 2 in Abuja.
The recognition comes on the heels of their outstanding contributions to the development of grassroots football and their role in shaping the next generation of Nigerian talent.
Ogunmodede, who has carved a reputation as a tactician with strong focus on youth development, recently guided Remo Stars to consecutive strong campaigns in the NPFL. His emphasis on discipline and tactical awareness has seen several young players rise through the ranks into national team contention.
Anas, meanwhile, has distinguished himself in coaching and football education, playing a pivotal role in nurturing young prospects within the domestic scene and fostering competitive structures at local levels.
According to the NPFL, the September 2 event will not only celebrate the duo’s achievements but also highlight the federation’s commitment to recognising homegrown coaches who continue to raise the standard of the game.
Football administrators, club executives, and stakeholders from across the Nigerian football ecosystem are expected to grace the ceremony in Abuja.
