The Inter-School Invitational Tag Rugby Friendlies is a fun and well-organised rugby activity for school children from selected schools, Sportivationng.com reports.
This event is in alignment with our plans to provide regular activity, engagement, and sporting entertainment through organised games and competitions to support the continuous development, improvement, and mastery of the sport for children enrolled in after-school ECA clubs of the Rugby School Outreach – our flagship introduction
to rugby, development and engagement program for elite schools in Nigeria.
More than four elite schools are expected to participate in this first Inter-School Invitational Tag Rugby Friendlies.
Event Details:
Date: Saturday, February 28
Format: 5-A-side; mixed and/or single
Venue: Lagos Preparatory and Secondary School (LPSS), Ikoyi, Lagos.
Time: 12-3PM
The matches are friendly and development-focused, designed to give students a positive playing experience in a
safe environment.
The emphasis will be on participation, teamwork, enjoyment, and fair play.
Team Categories:
1. Under-10: Year 1-6 – Junior category
2. Under-15: Year 7+ – Senior Category
Schools with both Junior and Senior teams will play in both categories, while those with either of the categories will play in the qualified one.
We’re expecting to have an all female teams encounter.
Participation is by invitation.
