Super Falcons of Nigeria player Chiwendu Ihezuo, now with Pachuca, scored in their impressive 5-0 win over Mazatlan in the Mexican Women’s League.
Her debut goal arrived just before halftime, a tap-in from Destinee Manzo’s delivery.
By Expressing joy after the match, Ihezuo credited her teammates for a smooth transition, saying, “A wonderful outing for the team and myself. Coming here was an easy choice. Thanks to my teammates and my sister Ohale for the love. Feel happy to score my first goal for the club.”
Ihezuo recently inked a one-year deal with Pachuca after a successful stint with C.F Monterrey, where she scored 10 goals in 25 appearances.
The former African Women’s Cup of Nations winner joins Osinachi Ohale in Pachuca’s ranks.
The team currently leads the league with a superior goal difference.
