Controversial refereeing decisions in La Liga game against Sevilla upset Real Madrid TV
Real Madrid TV identified refereeing errors in the match againstSevilla.
Carlo Ancelotti refrained from critiquing the calls to avoid potential punitive action.
Real Madrid expressed dissatisfaction with the refereeing in their Sevilla match.
The team settled for a 1-1 draw against Sevilla, but harbored a belief that the victory was within their reach, had it not been for referee Ricardo De Burgos Bengoetxea.
In a recent match against Sevilla, the home team, Real Madrid, had two goals disqualified in the first 10 minutes. Consequently, Real Madrid relied on a goal from Dani Carvajal to secure a draw, after a self-goal by David Alaba handed Sevilla the upper hand.
As referenced by Football Espana, Real Madrid TV expressed dissatisfaction with the referee, De Burgos, for his performance in the match, suggesting that he, ironically, deserved the man of the match honor for his actions.
“It’s a sociological scandal what happened today with De Burgos Bengoetxea. The MVP of the match goes to De Burgos Bengoetxea. He has done his job perfectly,” RMTV stated.
Real Madrid TV (RMTV) expressed dissatisfaction over the disqualification of Federico Valverde’s goal in the 4th minute due to VAR intervention, calling the ruling incorrect.
In addition, RMTV was displeased with the decision to disqualify Jude Bellingham’s goal shortly after. They pointed out that his goal was unfairly ruled out because of a claimed foul during the pre-goal sequence.
There’s been a wave of disagreement over the referees’ calls, extending beyond Real Madrid TV (RMTV).
Real Madrid’s coach, Carlo Ancelotti, also expressed his displeasure subtly during a press conference. Utilizing irony, he avoided stating his true feelings outright, according to a report by AS.
“Irony is the only way to explain myself after that game. If I say what I think about refereeing I’ll be banned for a long time,” he said.
During his debut game against Real Madrid, Antonio Rudiger and Sergio Ramos had a confrontation. This was Ramos’s first return to the Spanish La Liga since his 16-year tenure at Madrid.
Ramos, after spending two seasons with Paris Saint-Germain, chose to return to La Liga playing for Sevilla.
It was during his first game against his old team where he had a heated exchange with Rudiger, as reported by Sportivationng.
