Nigeria and Orlando Pirates defender, Olisa Ndah has expressed optimism about the Super Eagles of Nigeria following their disappointing 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea at the 2023 AFCON in Abidjan.
“I think the team played well, created a lot of chances, no thanks to the Equatorial Guinea goalkeeper who made good saves. The team has everything to get a win against Cote D’Ivoire, and I believe they will do,” Ndah expressed.
Iban Salvador opened the scoring for Equatorial Guinea with a wonderful finish, but Victor Osimhen quickly restored parity with a header from close range.
Ndah, who plays for Orlando Pirates in South Africa, believes the team possesses the necessary elements to return to winning ways and secure qualification from the group.
Nigeria is set to face the host country, Cote D’Ivoire, on Thursday at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Ebimpe.
