Lagos, Nigeria: All Rugby Schools (ARS) in association with the Black Jedis of Corona School Gbagada (Nigeria’s leading Rugby School) leads young athletes from Corona School Gbagada and Grange School in Nigeria on a rugby tour to Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, UK, this October.
They will be embarking on the same journey the Acton brothers took in 1844 from Rugby School, Rugby to Cheltenham College, Gloucestshire, two of England’s leading Rugby schools.
The Cheltenham Invitational Tour is hosted by Cheltenham College, a leading independent school with a strong rugby program that has produced many talented players; and Cheltenham Prep, a primary school nurturing rugby talent from an early age, developing technical skills and a deep understanding of the game.
Primary school students from ARS leading Ruling house community, Black Jedis of Corona School Gbagada, will participate in a spirited yet friendly games at both Cheltenham College Prep and Rugby School.
Designed to celebrate rugby, promote teamwork, and foster love for its values, the invitational features full contact games for different age groups of different skill levels in Cheltenham and Rugby.
ARS has ensured that the players are adequately trained for contact sports through a nine-month player development clinic facilitated by experienced coaches and ex-professionals at the home of the Black Jedis, Corona School Gbagada.
In addition to games with Cheltenham College and Cheltenham Prep, they will also interact with players from Rugby School as well.
Beyond the fun and thrill of games on the rugby field, Cheltenham Invitational promises an unforgettable experience, highlighting the joy of participation, and the bonds formed through shared passion for the sport, enjoyed in a vibrant atmosphere of opportunities to make lasting memories.
